Meet the Author

Tony Portell is the Lead Pastor of Vineyard Life Church, with campuses in Indianapolis and Plainfield, IN. He holds graduate degrees in Counseling and Biblical studies.

In addition to his work with the church, Tony is the Chaplain for the Indianapolis Fire Department and is deployed with the State of Indiana Crisis Response team, FEMA, and the Red Cross.

Tony is the author of No Longer Stuck, which became an Amazon Best Seller and Top New Release in 2024. This year, he released The Course and Workbook. This year he will also publish Getting Stuck, which discusses how trauma impacts our lives and how to find freedom through Helping Others Heal publishing.

Tony and Lori have two children and four grandchildren.

Tony Portell launched this organization as a follow-up to the many people who have searched for help as they confront their mental health issues. Therapists don’t always have availability, and the cost can be prohibitive. Helping Others Heal is a place to connect with a Mental Health Coach or a Licensed Therapist.

One to One Consultation

Helping Others Heal has a team of coaches, counselors, and therapists to assist. We can assist with any mental health challenge. We meet over Zoom, and appointments are 50 minutes. Fees are based on a sliding scale.
